You want to travel to new places and explore the world around you - to squish your toes in the sand and feel the outside like you did when you were a kid.


You want to have fun – to indulge yourself a little...and laugh a lot!


At Shift Adventures, we offer retreats that allow you to put yourself first. Join Kathy (the talkative one) and Rochelle (your quiet encouragement) on a trip where you will interact with your surroundings through yoga, strength training, and adventurous activities, while taking the time to unwind and have a margarita (or two)!

Hi, Rochelle.

Rochelle has always had a passion for movement - whether it was swimming, gymnastics, volleyball, or just saying yes to every new adventure she could find. Being outdoors and trying new things has always helped her stay connected to herself. She believes that our physical, mental, and emotional health are deeply connected — and that challenging ourselves with new experiences can help bring all three into balance. Rochelle is a certified personal trainer through CanFitPro, with CPR certification in hand. She has lifeguarded, taught swimming lessons, traveled across Canada for gymnastics and movement courses, and studied strength training with teachers like Ido Portal and Odelia Goldschmidt. At home, she’s inspired by her two kids and her husband, and stays active not just to keep up to them, but to show her children that strength, confidence, and joy are always worth chasing. During Shift Adventures’ retreats, Rochelle invites you to connect with a sense of play. She believes that staying young at heart helps our bodies and minds thrive, and she looks forward to meeting you in beautiful Bucerías, Mexico.

Hello, Kathy.

Kathy’s yoga journey started in a Las Vegas hotel room, when Rochelle showed her how to do a few sun salutations. At the time, Kathy was training for a half marathon and figured yoga might help her stay healthy and injury-free. It turned out to be so much more than that! It turned into something she couldn’t imagine being without. In 2019, Kathy jumped into a 300-hour yoga teacher training (nervous she wasn’t flexible or strong enough) and quickly realized that yoga isn’t about any of that. If you're alive, you can be a yogi. Kathy is a mom to two wild and wonderful kids, married to an equally energetic husband, and works as a paramedic with Alberta Health Services. Her yoga practice keeps her grounded, patient, and connected - whether she's balancing hectic schedules, facing the pressures of her day job, or heading outside to soak up the fresh air. At Shift Adventures retreats, Kathy shares her love of Yin yoga - a slower, meditative practice that helps you settle in and let go. Kathy invites you to join her in Bucerias, hold pose for a few minutes, and listen to the birds sing and the ocean waves crash in the distance.
